Angela Warren Lidge was born in Rolling Fork and raised in Hollandale, MS. She was born to Johnny and Christine Anderson in Hollandale, MS. She has one sibling, Maurice (Demesha) Warren. Her grandparents, Viola Richards, Maozella Richards, Bessie Anderson and in-laws Roosevelt Ash, Ledora Ash, and Mania Lidge also played a significant role in her upbringing. Angela has been with her husband, Nathaniel Lidge for over 30 years. They have one daughter, Naesha Lidge and one grandson, Kayson Atkins. Angela belongs to the Rose Hill MB Church, pastored by Michael Maybell and Lady Arlelia Maybell. Angela is a member of the Gamma Phi Delta Sorority and a member of the Order Of The Eastern Stars which are both community based.

As a young child, Angela has always dreamed of how to truly help those in need. After graduating from Simmons High School in Hollandale, she continued her education in the healthcare field. Angela has degrees in the following:

  • AA in Healthcare Information Management from Mississippi Delta Community College, Moorhead, MS
  • AS in Practical Nursing from Mississippi Delta Community College, Moorhead, MS
  • AS in Occupational Therapy (COTA) from Holmes Community College, Ridgeland, MS
  • Additional Studies in Biology from Mississippi Valley State University, Itta Bena, MS
  • Pharmacy Tech from the CAPPS Center, Indianola, MS
  • Certification as a ServSafe Food Handler

Angela brings vision, leadership, and actions to Ward 4 in Hollandale, MS. As Alderwoman, Angela is committed to improving the quality of life for every resident. Her top priorities include improving educational opportunities for children, reducing crime, feeding the needy, bring job opportunities to Hollandale, and providing the highest level of services possible to our
city. In Angela’s first year of term one, she has assisted in the following areas:

  • RAMP Program-assisted with rent and utilities for the surrounding communities held in Hollandale, MS and hosted by Boss Lady Pam Chatman and Alderwoman Warren-Lidge.
  • Community Easter Eggs Hunt – provided gifts, food and the meaning of Easter along with an Easter egg hunt at Castlewood Park. Hosted by Bayer who partnered with Mars, community leaders, pastors, churches, Alderwoman Warren-Lidge, Greenville Fire Department and the Hollandale Police Department.
  • Back To School Jamboree – Hosted by the Hollandale Fire Department and the Hollandale community
  • Life After Graduation – to discuss employment, salaries, and benefits for future firefighters after graduation. Hosted by Simmons High School, Greenville Fire Department and Alderwoman Warren-Lidge.
  • Toy/Food Drive/Feeding the elderly on some weekends – Hosted by Kyrie’s Kitchen & Things along with Alderwoman Warren-Lidge.

After joining government, Angela was appointed by the Mayor of Hollandale to oversee the volunteer fire department along with Chief Burnside and Fire Consultant Jernigan. Angela has also accumulate over 24 years working in the Healthcare field. She has worked as an LPN and Occupational Therapist (COTA) in hospitals, nursing homes, schools, home health, mental health, acute, inpatient/outpatient settings over the state of Mississippi. She is currently working in the Sunflower County Consolidated School District. Angela’s
background gives her valuable insight into the needs and health of our community. She has a desire to be a voice and a positive change in the City of Hollandale.
